The Program Director is a full-time,
benefitted, Faculty Categoy D position responsible for providing support, leadership, development, and business continuity to the assigned
academic school and associated programs and disciplines. Under the direction of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Dean, School
of Arts & Sciences, this position leads, collaborates, develops, organizes, and continuously improves division operations; conducts
program and curriculum management; ensures smooth and effective processes through direct relations with faculty; and supports stakeholder
relationships in promotion of individual and organizational success.
The Program Director executes this role through developing
positive and constructive relationships, embracing and cultivating an environment of shared governance, collaboration, and supporting active
engagement in meeting the College’s mission and strategic goals. This position will provide direction for operations, management, and
utilization of resources; develop and provide feedback to faculty and staff; and will work to remove barriers and promote individual and
organizational success in the delivery of quality, effective instruction and relevant, effective programming.

Organizational Relationship:
The
Program Director reports directly to the Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences. This position will supervise and provide development
feedback to full-time and part-time faculty and staff and has a highly collaborative relationship with multiple College departments,
committees, and leadership teams.
Benefits: Approximately 85% of health insurance premiums paid by the College, the
College will contribute 13.19% of the employee’s salary towards their retirement fund, 12 vacation days, 12 sick days, 2 personal

Director, under the Dean’s leadership and direction, will provide effective management and utilization of resources and processes in the
successful operation of the assigned program and disciplines. More specifically, the Director is responsible for the following:

Management and Assessment – The Director provides managerial support to the assigned program and disciplines in order to
ensure the delivery of quality, effective instruction and relevant, effective programming. Under the Dean’s leadership and direction,
the Director collaborates on planning improvements as a result of annual program analysis, student learning assessment, and cyclical Pathway
Review.
Stakeholder Partnerships and Student
Success – Under the direction of the Dean and in collaboration with faculty, the Program Director is responsible for
fostering, developing, and supporting stakeholder partnerships and student success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Instructional Responsibilities
Program Directors are faculty, and as such
they have expectations for the fulfillment of instructional responsibilities associated with their role, as well as the requirement to
demonstrate the behavioral competencies expected of all LCCC faculty. These functional and behavioral responsibilities include teaching up
to 10 credits per year within their division as detailed below:
Teaching and Learning
Employing student-centered
teaching practices coupled with the development and use of appropriate and current educational materials to maximize student engagement and
success.
Competency-Based Design
Applying competency-based design to the
development of curriculum. Engaging with colleagues at the course, program, and institutional level with the aim of continuous
improvement.
Diversity and Inclusion in the Classroom
Supporting different perspectives and engaging the diversity of students in the
classroom toward educational and democratic ends.
Professionalism and ReflectionServing the institution by collaborating and actively reflecting on
responsibilities to positively contribute to one’s discipline, Pathway, the College, and the greater community.
Nonessential Functions: An employee in this position may perform some of these responsibilities on an infrequent
basis.
