Functional Area/Department: Construction
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Senior Estimator
We are seeking a full-time Estimator for a commercial/residential builder/developer/property management company in Central New Jersey/Eastern PA area. Candidate must have knowledge of construction methods and techniques. Candidate will work with the Senior Estimator to prepare and coordinate estimates for a variety of commercial, multifamily and other projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare budget estimates and proposals
Experience with construction drawings, specifications and sketches as required for understanding of project scope to perform material takeoffs
Evaluate accuracy of estimates and make any changes necessary
Solicit, track, review & descope trades
Provide administrative support, as required
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with On-Screen Take-Off and ProCore
Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent math skills
Must have own transportation
Qualifications:
· 2 to 5 years’ experience in construction estimating for commercial/residential projects
· Must be able to conceptually budget, meet deadlines, multitask, work effectively in a demanding environment, and be willing to go the extra mile
