Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join the Human Resources Team.
In a multi-site environment, the HR Manager will be responsible for leading the human resources operational and strategic plans in talent acquisition, talent development, employment law, health and safety, employee and labor relations, engagement, and organizational design. The position will oversee day to day human resources related activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services and resolution of issues on behalf of the employees, management and the company. The HR Manager will work with the appropriate Legrand Entity staff to investigate and resolve employee relations issues as well as provides local oversight and management of centralized wage and salary programs, health & welfare plans, performance management programs, rewards & recognition programs, and training/development opportunities and various other centralized employee programs. Assure that all policies, practices, and actions of the facility comply with all applicable provisions of both Federal and state laws and Legrand policy. Administers human resources services, programs, and processes to attract, develop, and retain qualified employees to meet the business requirements of the company. May be responsible for labor relations and the administration of collective bargaining agreement to promote a positive employee relations culture within the business while also minimizing risks.
What Will You Do?
As part of the Legrand HR team, assists with the development of policies, practices and procedures as it relates to Human Resources with the sites the position oversees. Communicates and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures. Oversees all areas of Human Resources responsibilities to assure that all federal, state, and local regulations are complied with at each location. Creates, develops, and enhances recruitment and retention efforts including professional, support, production and temporary positions to benchmark against established best practices. Follows and enhances established hiring procedures to ensure that the successful candidate has gone through the required reference checks, pre-employment assessments and screening procedures. Leads the coordination the orientation of new and reassigned employees, including review of employee handbook/policies, overview of processes and procedures, introduction to physical location/layout, health and safety and related activities to onboarding. Manages the performance review process for the assigned location(s). Monitors review activity to ensure that each step in the annual performance cycle is being completed on a timely basis. Coaches managers and supervisors on conducting meaningful goal setting, development and performance feedback discussions, assists with crafting a clear and defensible message to employees with performance related issues. Oversees the administration of benefit programs for the company, in coordination with LNA Benefits Team. Recommends improvements in programs based on employee needs and return on investment. In coordination with the LNA Compensation Team, administers a sound salary administration program to positively impact the company in terms of profits and ability to attract and retain talented people. Maintains positive employee relations with the workforce; counsels, mentors, and problem solves with supervisors and associates on matters of discipline, motivation, compensation, development, or other factors affecting success on the job; responds to employee requests for information on benefits, policies, or employment matters. Ensures the documentation and maintenance of all employee personnel records. Works with department managers and supervisors to ensure that health and safety programs are in place and that required OSHA training is being conducted as required. Maintains current job descriptions, works with compensation as required to update and/or re-evaluate jobs as needed. Ensures compliance with FLSA guidelines in the classification of exempt and non-exempt employees. As required, hires, develops, trains, motivates and manages HR staff on a day to day basis, establishes goals and provides performance feedback per Legrand performance management process. May be required to manage payroll/attendance programs. Leave of absence, disability and FMLA administration. Participation in other project work such as LNA HR Goal initiatives

Qualifications
Required Skills
* Education: BS in Industrial and Labor Relations/ Human Resources Management or related.
* Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in an HR Generalist role or related area
* Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently. Must possess a thorough knowledge of administrative and office procedures.
Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail, HRIS and related HR programs and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment. Must be able to handle all types of personalities and relate to people at all levels of the organization.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business. Must be able to balance needs of people within the framework of business needs of company.
Must have knowledge of all State and Federal Laws related to the HR profession.
Travel between sites frequently is expected and required.
