Job Summary: Acts as a consultant, educator and researcher in the areas of enterostomal therapy and wound care management. Establishes objectives, goals and priorities for selected patients/families care, nursing staff education and organizational objectives within the framework of the specialized areas of practice. Actively responds to consults, assesses patients, and offers recommendations for continued treatment.
Minimum Requirements: Nursing degree required.
Three (3) years experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing required. WOCN Certification within three (3) months of hire date required.
Knowledge of computer skills preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of hospital management, staff, physicians, patients, families and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN preferred.
Experience in Enterostomal Therapy preferred. Teaching experience is preferred.
Licensure and Certifications: Driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;Must have current license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
