As a Distribution Engineering Director within Leidos’ Power Delivery Services organization, you will have the opportunity to act as the CEO of your own team, where you will be challenged to solve complex problems, develop, manage and grow your team of distribution engineers and designers, and build relationships with our long-standing clients. You will collaborate closely with the organization’s cross-functional teams, keeping the overall goals of client satisfaction and the production of high-quality work firmly in mind.
This role reports directly to the VP of Distribution Engineering, and is expected to be located in the western portion of the U.S.
Remote work will be considered.

In this role, you can expect to grow by:
Participating in strategic development to support revenue targets
Building, mentoring and developing your team of managers and lead engineers
Gaining access to and partnering with our deep list of nationwide utility clients to expand the portfolio of business
What you will bring to the table:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university, with 12+ years of relevant experience in distribution line engineering
High technical competence of NESC and Distribution Line Engineering fundamentals
Expertise with staff training/mentorship
Experience managing a large team
Experience with serving as client liaison for project delivery as well as business development
Experience in project execution, including being accountable for scope, budget, and schedule adherence
The ability to travel up to 10% of the time
It would be nice if you had:
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
Experience with design tools such as Pole Foreman, O-Calc, Spida-Calc
Experience with Joint Use and Colocation projects
Experience with 5 kV to 15 kV voltage conversion projects

Pay Range $97,500.00 – $150,000.00 – $202,500.00
