More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking a Delivery Manager to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
What You’ll Get to Do:
This position requires broad Data Center knowledge with Subject Matter Expertise in as many specific fields as possible. This position will provide for a single point of contact and accountability for the Naval Enterprise Network Labs. Continue to develop, maintain and evolve, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and all technical documentation. Ensure standardization and consistency with best-in-class operating practices. Develop a complete, deep knowledge of the design intent, operational alternatives and contingency plans related to all Enterprise Lab systems. Deliver frequent management information reporting to ensure and demonstrate performance and adherence to internal KPIs. Managing information flow during incidents while providing regular updates to senior management. Reviewing incident reports, documenting periodic trend summaries, and providing updates and recommended actions to management. Manage and coordinate with vendors to resolve any incidents during emergency situations.
Others duties include but not limited to:
•Oversee the creation, update, and timely closure of tickets following ITSM processes.
•Manage a team of engineers and system administrators who develop and provide operations and maintenance of tools that monitor fault, performance and capacity of the enterprise data centers.
•Oversee a team of subcontractors providing services for System Administration and Data Center Operators supporting enterprise level laboratories in San Diego and St. Louis.
•Lead activities to ensure continued high availability, accessibility, and sustainability efforts of the lab’s operations.
•Responsible for ensuring asset, configuration, and change management processes are in place and followed.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change. Work with leadership and stakeholders to reprioritize efforts as needed.
•Manage and approve hardware and software licenses.
•Manage and approve access to all labs including the timely removal of access after test completion.
•Maintain an accurate architecture of the labs for delivery to the customer.
•Responsible for overseeing and improving standard operating procedures.
•Responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and leadership to ensure the labs receive and incorporate new technologies to coincide with the timing of test events.
•Ensure the labs maintain a consistent environment which continually represent the enterprise.
•Ensure that proper disposal procedures are followed for devices that are retired.
•Review task order requests from the Government and develop questions/feedback to refine the Statement of Objectives.
•Provide inputs to the Basis of Estimates for task order support.
•Establish standard procedures and processes to be followed by the entire team to ensure complete, accurate, reliable, and certifiably auditable data is collected.
•Engineer solutions that provide secure, effective and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for tools and data.
•Participate in new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects related to Enterprise Monitoring, Performance and Capacity Management tools for the NMCI network.
•Organize the means to achieve solutions to highly complex technical problems.
•Significant collaboration and coordination with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
•Comply with ITSM processes and procedures.
•Comply with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and use MBSE tools.
•Comply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239.
•Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solutions related to tools and data.
•Develop and maintain processes, checklists, and procedures for tools and data.
•Mentor and review the work of team members.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
•Fiver (5) or more years’ experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for a Secret clearance on the program.
•Positive can do attitude with success leading diverse teams under tight timelines
•Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
•Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
•Motivated self-starter with ability to lead and work in a matrix organization and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and program leadership.
•Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.
•Five or more years’ experience supporting Information technology service management (ITSM) systems
•Experience working in large information technology enterprise environments.
•Experience in collaborating with other enterprise technologists both internal and external to resolve complex technical issues.
•Travel may be required.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs.
•Experience developing SE artifacts in multiple systems development paradigms and methodologies.
•Certifications:
-Security+.
-ITIL.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $91,000.00 – $140,000.00 – $189,000.00
