LEL Critical, a division of LEL International, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager at our Duncan, SC facility. We are a small, fast-growing company that can offer upward mobility as we continue to experience growth. Our culture is family-focused which translates to an 8-5, Monday through Friday schedule, with no call out or scheduled weekend work.

As our Manufacturing Operations Manager you will oversee the overall manufacturing processes for our critical equipment. This will include but not be limited to industrial generators, cooling towers, and chillers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years manufacturing operations experience, previous power generation manufacturing experience highly desired.

You will be successful in this role if you possess prior experience overseeing an industrial manufacturing line, with an emphasis on power generation equipment. You can implement plans that effectively utilize personnel and material to achieve set manufacturing target goals. You are a strong leader that meets deadlines and has excellent project and team management skills.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve set goals
• Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule
• Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of technical production employees to ensure a competent workforce
• Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production
• Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution
• Monitor a manufacturing team to ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards
• Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations
• Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems
• Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency
• Monitor and control a production process to adjust operations in event of a problem
• Collaborate with marketing and sales staff to implement strategies that’ll improve the marketability of manufactured products
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing
• Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in management, or related field preferred
• Previous manufacturing process implementation
• Previous project management experience with an emphasis on manufacturing timelines and cost-effective production
• Strong organizational skills to successfully coordinate different stages of manufacturing process for seamless operations
