This Project Manager II position is aligned to DEI initiatives across the company with a broad range of strategic imperatives, growth opportunities, and cultural nuances. Flexing support across the DEI function, this role will report to the VP of Strategy/Planning, Operations and Messaging.

The role manages DEI projects that are non-cyclical and varied, aligning with the project management life cycle (initiating/defining; planning; executing; close-out) and supporting business priorities to create scalable and sustainable impact.
Responsibilities:
Manages projects to include those considered complex in nature with function-wide impact (e.g. strategically important, technical in nature, large budget, 6-12-month timeframe, etc.)
Defines the business case with input from stakeholders. Identifies and gains agreement on project objectives, scope, timing, measurement and resources.
Plans activities/tasks that will deliver the desired results and oversees day-to-day work and monitoring of progress towards goals.
Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of projects to stakeholders within and beyond the project team.
Directs stakeholders towards consensus points and typically gains buy-in of recommendations.
Escalates and works to resolve issues that serve as roadblocks and/or place project objectives at risk. Identifies and provides visibility into trade-offs between options and influences recommended approach.
Provides updates to manager and collaborates with manager regarding complex situations.
In addition to project management, may also perform some of the work defined in the project roles and responsibilities.
Performs project close-out steps to include identifying lessons learned/best practices to inform the success of future projects. Applies continuous improvement methodologies throughout the project management lifecycle.
Provides coaching and mentoring to team members as needed
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of project management principles and concepts.
Strong ability to manage all aspects of the project management life cycle.
Proficient with project management tools.
Project management certification preferred.
DEI engagement or experience preferred.
Experience with measurement frameworks, strategy or planning desired.
Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
Strong business operations knowledge to include understanding the function’s value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to include project management work.
