Lifetime Brands is looking for an exceptional Senior Industrial Designer to join our Seattle studio. This position is responsible for designing new products for our in-house and private label brands. As part of our team you will be responsible for design of new items through the whole process: from research to prototyping to finishing touches in CAD. We are looking for someone who can figure out creative solutions to everyday problems, can prioritize workload, can frame a point of view, and has a broad skill set. This role serves as a key player in our product development team.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the design of new products from idea through production
Make product design decisions which reinforce brand values
Pitch ideas and provide substance, research, and data for backup
Contribute to idea creation sessions
Create content for and contribute to ID presentations
Work to ensure product line evolution and expansion meets strategic intent
Become a subject matter expert in the product category
Identify opportunities in the market through functional research and trends
Recommend new product initiatives that enhance opportunity for growth in current and/or emerging categories
Support seasonal presentations as needed
Collaborate with engineers to ensure mechanical product approval
Collaborate with Design Manager to ensure tight, cohesive output across projects
Collaborate with CMF team on integration of trends, colors, ?nishes, etc
Contribute to adjacent business areas/brands as needed
Requirements
Degree in Industrial Design
5+ years’ experience in a corporate or consultant ID role
Highly creative
Attention to detail and inquisitive nature
Positive, collaborative attitude
Professional demeanor
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Skilled using analog tools: hack prototyping, finish prototyping, and general workshop proficiency
Skilled using digital tools like SolidWorks, Keyshot, Adobe CS, and 3D printing
Portfolio of exceptional design work including products that have seen production
