Join Lightning Transportation as Assistant Operations Manager!
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will plan freight, maximize driver utilization, and solve problems to deliver logistics solutions to our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with customers, potential customers, and owner operators.
- Monitor the location of the fleet using system tracking.
- Proactively communicate with customers on any potential service failures and create action plans to avoid issues in the future.
- Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
- Work collectively with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Work with the Recruiting Department to add & retain owner operaters.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1 year of experience in operations or dispatch enviornment.
- 2 years of logistics or transportation experience.
- Problem solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team.
