GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will plan freight, maximize driver utilization, and solve problems to deliver logistics solutions to our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with customers, potential customers, and owner operators.
• Monitor the location of the fleet using system tracking.
• Proactively communicate with customers on any potential service failures and create action plans to avoid issues in the future.
• Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
• Work collectively with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Work with the Recruiting Department to add & retain owner operaters.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of experience in operations or dispatch enviornment.
• 2 years of logistics or transportation experience.
• Problem solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team.
