What’s the opportunity?
As our People & Culture Business Partner you’ll be right at the heart of a team and a company that’s doing work that truly matters. Our small but impactful People and Culture team is looking for an energetic and passionate People Partner to help us strategize, implement and maintain our People initiatives ready to scale.
You will have the opportunity to operate highly independently and work with our leaders across multiple US locations to ensure Linewize is a great place to work for all employees. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (based in Australia) this role is both hands-on AND strategic, supporting the People Team in multiple roles including – talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management as well as assisting in global People Projects. Our People Team is passionate about their work and helps deliver positive change every day.
To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work.
Here’s how you’ll do it :
- Champion and promote Family Zone’s vision, values, culture and employer brand, internally and externally to maximize employee engagement and retention.
- Be a credible activist for our employees and leaders, and the driving force behind all associated People programmes and initiatives
- Provide generalist HR advice to managers and staff on matters across the entire employee lifecycle including employee relations.
- Support the development, maintenance and participation of a top tier onboarding experience for our new team members.
- Design and deliver effective training, coaching, and learning opportunities for our staff and managers to support high performance teams.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws through efficient administration of company policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives.
- Drive clear, coordinated and consistent messaging and documentation across our internal and external channels. This includes developing, writing, editing and proofreading copy and content.
- Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.
- Partner with the global finance team and Payroll to coordinate open enrolments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs as well as payroll queries.
- Support the talent acquisition and recruitment process across our US operations, working closely with our Head of Global Talent to screen and hire top candidates.
What you will bring :
- An action-oriented self-starter, with the ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle adversity and frequent change, all whilst balancing workload and competing priorities.
- A Problem-Solver not Pointer-Outer, with the ability to be solution focused and hands on in every aspect of the position.
- An engaged, people focused coach with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders to increase and manage performance.
- An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator, with great attention to detail and the ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate messaging and documentation.
- Happy to work across multiple time zones.
You’ll have:
- A Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3-4 years’ experience in a HR Business Partner role or other HR role and want to ‘roll up your sleeves’ to assist the organization with all people management processes and practices across the entire employee life cycle.
- Thorough knowledge of HR best practises and local employment-related laws and regulations (including Pay & Benefits)
- Experience in sourcing or designing/developing innovative training programs would be beneficial but not crucial.
- Experience in using social media for Employer Branding/ Recruitment campaigns, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Glassdoor etc.
- Ideally CIPD certified (Nice to have)

Compensation:
- $110-140,000 USD, plus benefits and Employee Stock Options
