Senior HR Generalist
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team and take on the role of owning and leading the employee relations function. If you are an experience HR Generalist with a high level of emotional intelligence and superior communication skills, we want to talk to you!
We are looking for a candidate who has a true passion for employee relations that can successfully and authentically build relationships and trust with managers, executives, and front-line employees.
As a discerning and great listener and communicator, our HR Generalist will be able to read people, drive to gather necessary information, and navigate challenging conversations with clarity and compassion. With a keen understanding of compliance, this thorough individual will be able to autonomously assess risk and make sound business decisions.
A strong coach, this individual enjoys partnering with and being a resource to leadership to help them successfully navigate employee relations issues.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience in investigations, disciplinary processes, performance management, and leave and accommodation management.
HR Generalist Duties
As a HR Generalist, you would be responsible for the following:
Leading and managing the employee relations functions – Being a resource to both managers and employees on employee and employer rights and responsibilities while ensuring compliance and alignment with regulatory notices, postings, process, and communications regarding employee needs. You would be responsible for the following employee relations functions:
Investigations
Disciplinary process administration and compliance
Administration of the performance management program
Pre-employment screening
Leading and overseeing the workers’ compensation program
Leading and overseeing unemployment claims
General compliance management for reporting, postings, and notices
Senior HR Generalist Specifications
Required
High School Diploma, or equivalent
7+ years of human resources experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to move from one task to another as called upon
Human resources certification
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree
