Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all phases of Human Resources in a multi-state operation.

Direct HR responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing HR strategic planning, employee relations, recruitment & retention, compensation administration, benefits, performance management, training & organizational development, policies & procedures, HRIS, Multi-State payroll, risk management and workers comp management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
• HR Certification a+
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
• Experience in manufacturing environment required
• Fifteen (15) years human resources generalist experience, ten years of which at a highly responsible management level acquired in a complex organization (preferably a multi-state).
• Strong knowledge of employment law and practices in CA, AZ, NV, UT and TX.
• Extensive knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, ADA and various leave laws, discrimination laws, and wage and hour.
• Demonstrable background in employment/employee relations and recruitment at all levels.
• Commendable level of expertise in organization development programs and training programs with emphasis on modern principles and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of modern compensation and benefits practices and principles; acquired through at least two-three years of hands-on experience in analyzing and designing programs and administering policies.
• Knowledge of related federal and state labor/employment and wage/salary laws. Knowledge of effective human resources and organizational development principles and practices.
• Effective interpersonal, organization, and presentation skills.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to deliver messages with respect, tact and diplomacy.
• Skill and ability to assess and implement change management theories and techniques to improve services and operational procedures, formulating and developing new procedures, policies, and strategies.
• Demonstrated independent judgment and initiative; ability to work both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Possess a high level of personal integrity and the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Ability to ascertain and protect confidentiality in all relevant matters.
• Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated; have strong leadership, management, analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
