Los Angeles Trade Technical College is in search of
a highly innovative, motivated and dynamic individual seeking to become Dean of Student Services overseeing Admissions and Records,
Counseling, Transfer Center, Umoja, and Puente. The Dean of Student Services will provide leadership in the areas of supervision in
support of our Pathway to Academic, Career, and Transfer Success (PACTS) student success framework. This position is expected to
start February 12, 2024.
ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS:
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Health: A medical certificate
indicating fitness to engage in administrative work is required for new employees at the applicant’s expense after selection and prior
to employment.
COVID 19 VACCINATION
Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee’s Policy 2900, all
students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination
status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees’ policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination
status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date.

DUTIES & CORE COMPETENCIES:
1. Leads assigned areas
in the re-engineering, adoption and integration of best practices to streamline processes and procedures to reduce barriers for student
success.
Actively seeks out and identifies opportunities to enhance,
develop and offer new programs, services, and activities to promote student success and generate internal and external support and resources
for assigned activities and functions.
3. Articulates and champions
the department, division and college’s shared mission, vision, and values to students, faculty, staff, industry partners, associations
and other external stakeholders.
4. Applies
participatory governance principles and collective bargaining agreements in a fair and consistent manner with faculty, staff, administrators
and students.
5. Serves as Evening Administrator on a rotating
basis. This position may require non-traditional work schedule (including evenings and weekends) and local, state and national
travel.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The annual salary range
is $166,752 to $195,792 with a doctorate degree may be eligible for a doctoral degree
differential of $5,952 per academic year. Final salary placement occurs after the selected candidate has
completed the hiring clearance process. An excellent benefits package which includes medical, vision, dental and life insurance is
available for the employee and eligible dependents. Benefits include, 15.5 paid holidays annually, 15-24 days paid vacation annually
depending on length of District service, medical/hospital, dental and vision care plans and a $50,000 group life
insurance policy.
