Duties and Responsibilities |
Job summary: Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean for Administration, provides administrative and academic program support for the School of Social Work Duties and Responsibilities: To assist the Assistant Dean for Administration with the on-boarding and management of part time faculty Create an on-boarding process for new part time faculty, including collection and processing of the new-hire paperwork needed for the Faculty Administration hiring process. Prepare and distribute part time faculty teaching contracts each semester. Assist part time faculty with questions related to the SAKAI and LOCUS technology platforms Update and maintain faculty list serves each semester Coordinate communications on trainings that keep part time faculty up to date with technology, and trainings that relate to online teaching courses. Create informational online resources for faculty – i.e A FAQ sheet. Assist the Manager of Continuing Education with the preparation of CEU events, and the processing of CEU completion certificates. Maintain Faculty Summary forms and Faculty Data forms for the reaffirmation process Working with the SSW Associate Dean for Academics and program directors, responsible for class scheduling in LOCUS of all SSW courses – Point person for managing the scheduling process based on the calendar established by the Registrar office – Receive training by the Registrar Office for learning the scheduling platform (LOCUS) and attend any meetings for schedulers offered by/required by the Registrar office – In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academics, input the course data each term for all degree programs and certificate programs according to the schedule established by the Registrar office – In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academics, review schedules and make changes as needed |
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
Some college required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Three to five years of related experience in an office setting; some supervisory experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. |
