POSITION SUMMARY
Daily administration of human resources activities including recruiting and general human resource administrative support for the Omaha facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for Production staffing including: initial screening of applications, completing phone screens, setting up interviews and assisting in the coordination of pre-employment evaluations.
- Manage the pre-hire and on-boarding process for the selected candidates to include orientation preparation and coordination
- Conduct new hire orientations and benefit orientations.
- Assist with recruiting events specific to production staffing plans (job fairs, interview days, open house events, etc.).
- Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track day-to-day requisition activity and communication to candidate
- Assist with the completion of the I-9 process and security badge administration.
- Back-up for internal production staffing needs to include contractual processes involving bid cards and internal job postings.
- Provide manufacturing and distribution center tours for candidates.
- Creates and/or updates reports and distributes as required.
- Ability to work and interact well with others at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BS in Human Resources or Business Management or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1 year experience at entry level HR generalist preferred if degreed, new graduate acceptable. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources required if non-degreed.
Required Skills:
- Basic level of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word & Access)
- Basic knowledge of all applicable human resources regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to conduct clear and concise presentations, confidence in presentations
- Basic project management skills
- Strong group facilitation skills
Preferred Skills
- Human Resource Information System (HRIS) systems experience
- HR related experience in a manufacturing environment
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Ability to be flexible in work hours.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to navigate throughout a manufacturing plant and distribution center as needed.
