Telecommunications Project Manager

Requires:

· BS or BA in EE, ME. CE, CS or Business/MIS from accredited university

· Minimum of 6 years project management experience in the telecommunications industry managing highly technical projects. Prefer experience in the Power industry.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 2 of the following types of projects: , Data networking design and operations, DC power systems Arial and underground fiber, Radio, Digi, Microwave, VSAT, Solar, DC Rectifier and Battery, SCADA architecture design which includes instrumentation.

· Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and communicate effectively with all levels of professionals.

Requires you live in California. No relocation will be offered.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain detailed project plan to track progress and communicate variances to project baseline.

· Monitor critical path activities and communicate impacts to overall schedule.

· Conduct or attend team meetings, produce meeting notes, keep action log register, coordinate design details, and communicate to supervisor

· Communicate with other lines of business and coordinate workflow prioritization among groups

· Provide weekly status updates which include a risk register, work completed, upcoming week tasks, and updated completion dates for milestone tasks.

· Escalate project issues to management and track after Escalation

· Forecast internal resource requirements

· Develop financial and status reports on site by site and program wide

· Coordinate any efforts needed by various Departments such as Land, Environment, Electric, Distribution, Transmission, etc.

· Record management and input to PPMC tool. This will include creating, managing and tracking of Project Status Reports, Project Change Requests, Issue/Risk logs, Staffing profiles, Job Estimate routing, etc.

· Financial forecasting weekly

· Record management and input to Microsoft Project for project scheduling and upload project documents into PPMC.

Pay: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour
