Position Description
The Logistics Analyst III will assist with planning, coordinating, and executing comprehensive life-cycle support for projects assigned. Additionally, they will provide support for logistics meetings and logistics documentation. They will identify, develop, evaluate, and deliver training plans, materials and schedules associated with program office projects. Logistics Analysts will also develop, monitor and update supply chain management and systems spares programs. This position requires at least eight years’ experience in the specific field with a bachelor’s degree, or 10 years of experience in the ammunition logistics/ammunition supply field.

Responsibilities

• Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution
• Maintain database of logistics information
• Participate in Ammunition Logistics Focus Team (ALFT) process improvement initiative meetings.
• Analyze and review Total Item Property Record (TIPR) transaction processes and Defense Logistics Management Standard (DLMS) change request analysis and recommendations
• Analyze Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) support to include inventory accuracy analysis and drafting of upgrade and new release messages
• Use analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes
• Implement DoD Acquisition and Life-cycle Management policies and procedures.
• Support logistics analyses and assessments
• Prepare, review, and revise logistics documentation applicable to each program/project through all phases of the acquisition cycle
• Support logistics assessments and milestone reviews in preparation for evaluations, demonstrations, fieldings, and transitions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Certification

• Bachelor’s degree desired with eight years of experience/certification or at least ten years direct support to a federal related program office/agency
• Must be detail oriented and organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Understanding the principles and practices of logistics management
• Understanding DoD Acquisition and Life-Cycle Management policies and procedures

• Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information and express ideas effectively. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact with program specialists and Government officials

• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs and a working knowledge of MS Office suite or similar software

Security Clearance Requirements
Personnel requiring access to U.S. Government CUI shall possess a completed background investigation (minimum of a T-1/NACI) for this Public Trust Position

Travel Requirements
Travel is not anticipated.

LTE assigned Program Manager to PM Ammo.
