Position Description
The Logistics Analysts V will lead and assist with planning, coordinating, and executing comprehensive life-cycle support for projects assigned. They will identify, develop, evaluate and deliver training plans, materials and schedules associated with program office projects. Logistics Analysts will also develop, monitor and update supply chain management and other systems programs. Additionally, they will provide support for logistics meetings and logistics documentation. This position requires at least fifteen years’ experience in the specific field with a bachelor’s degree, or 20 years of experience in the specific field.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to include preparation, maintenance, analysis, review, delivery and recommended changes to all documents in support of Acquisition Life Cycles and strategies to meet PM Ammo milestones in alignment with overarching program goals
• Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution
• Maintain database of logistics information
• Participate in Ammunition Logistics Focus Team process improvement initiative meetings
• Participate, review, and analyze Total Item Property Record transaction processing and Defense Logistics Management Standard change request analysis and recommendations
• Provide recommendations for and maintenance of Inventory Control Point performance metrics.
• Use analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes
• Implement DoD Acquisition and Life-cycle Management policies and procedures
• Support logistics analyses and assessments (e.g., supportability analysis, risk assessments, Business Case Analyses, etc.)
• Prepare, review, and revise logistics documentation applicable to each program/project through all phases of the acquisition cycle (e.g., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Maintenance Plans, Fielding Plans, etc.)
• Support logistics milestone reviews in preparation for evaluations, demonstrations, fieldings, and transitions
• Review the work of lower-level personnel
• Mentor and provide training and guidance to lower-level personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related field with 15 years of related experience or 20 years of logistics experience with high school diploma
• Proficiency in the principles and practices of logistics management
• Must be detail oriented and organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time
• Proficiency in DoD Acquisition and Life-Cycle Management policies and procedures
• Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information and express ideas effectively, orally and in writing. Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs and a working knowledge of MS Office suite or similar software

Security Clearance Requirements
Personnel requiring access to U.S. Government CUI shall possess a completed background investigation (minimum of a T-1/NACI) for this Public Trust Position.
