Lycoming College seeks applicants for an opening in Admissions. This position will be hired as either Admissions Counselor or Assistant
Director of Admissions, depending on experience. This position, highly integral to the continued growth and vibrancy of the institution,
will administer all aspects of the college search and admissions process with prospective high school students including encouraging
prospective students to apply and matriculate. The ideal candidate will possess positive energy, exceptional communication skills,
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions represents Lycoming College to
prospective students and organizations and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students. The successful
Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions exhibits superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily
interactions and communications with students including phone calls, texts emails, interviews and information sessions. The
Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective students through on and off
campus events, referrals, online and print communications, and outreach to businesses and organizations. The admission Counselor/Assistant
Director of Admissions must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students and
families, secondary and independent Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions, alumni, administrators and staff. A flexible work schedule
that will include days, evenings, and some weekends is required. Travel, valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
SKILLS &
KNOWLEDGE
Recruiting, management, sales, and/or knowledge of higher education required; Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and
written communication skills, and the acumen to persuasively articulate the college’s mission, programs, impact and goals to diverse
audiences; Well-developed presentation skills are required; Goal oriented and intrinsically motivated with superior customer service and
networking skills; Facility with MS Office Suite, social media and marketing via the e Internet as a tool; Ability to manage student files
and communications within Technolutions Slate CRM is preferred; Bi- or multi-linguistic ability preferred. Professional attire and
personal presentation required daily.
