Inventory Control Accountant

The Inventory Control Accountant (ICA) will be involved with all assets that are imported, aside from parts. You will deal with it from ordering, until it is shipped to customers. This will allow you to manage an entire process, and assure the products get to the customer. You will track metrics related to the process and help to continually improve the process. In addition, you will support the rest of the accounting team when needed with other basic accounting tasks.

The position reports directly to the Controller. The person will work from the company headquarters in Roselle, and eventually Kenilworth.

To be successful in this role:

• Timeliness of orders getting entered on time.

• # of orders entered and billed

Responsible for:

• Follow the purchase of machines and attachments from beginning to end, from placing orders, to receiving, to shipping, billing, etc.
• Keeping SAP updated, including updates to process and procedures documents
• Reviewing the parts invoices for accuracy
• Verified that we are being billed, and billing, the correct price
• Verify incoming shipments from the Ports to the warehouse. Involves dealing with importing companies, assuring release, paying of freight, as well as import fees
• Backup the staff accountant when needed, including A/R and A/P, and COGS journal entries
• Process approved warranty claims
• Tracking relevant KPIs to allow us to continually improve the purchasing and delivery process

Required Skills

• Advanced Excel skills required
• Familiar with SAP or other similar ERP software
• Degree in accounting preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of inventory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
