Staff Accountant, Brook Park
Magnolia Management Group, Ltd. is a business management company, that provides administrative support to schools and behavioral health organizations, throughout Northeast Ohio.
We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our growing finance department. This position will be responsible for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliation duties on a regular basis for the multiple companies that Magnolia manages.
Responsibilities
Payroll
· Processes payroll using Paycom for four companies with two additional companies coming online soon possibly using a different payroll provider
· Uses OnBase to update compensation, track bonus programs, and stay up to date on other employee changes
Accounts Payable
· Review monthly credit card expense reports, including verifying receipts from cardholders and importing data from the credit card reports to the company’s financial system
· Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple companies and bank accounts
· Update and maintain records of expenditures within the AP system, including vendor records, invoices, and payments
· Communicate with vendors regarding accounts, payments and resolution of discrepancies
· Complete account reconciliations accurately and timely while adhering to company and departmental guidelines
· Complete 1099 filings with the IRS and recipients across multiple companies
Accounts Receivable
· Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
· Ensure company revenue is accurately recorded in the general ledger
· Process customer accounts and incoming cash, check, and credit card payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
· Prepare bank deposits, including reconciliation of cash receipts
· Resolve account discrepancies, if in existence, between revenue and payment
· Organize and file deposit receipts as invoices are paid
· Analyze deposit records for accuracy
· Perform general office duties, such as the production of reports, filing of financial information, and other job duties as needed
Job Requirements and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, or related field
· Proficient in accounting software (Financial Edge and/or Quickbooks) and Microsoft programs with emphasis in Excel
· Previous experience with electronic health records and/or Hyland OnBase programs
· Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
· Ability to organize, prioritize work and to meet deadlines
Job schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift.
