Amherst seeks an Early Talent Manager to partner with the Director of Early Talent, the Senior HR Business Partner and Recruiter for Investment Management, and the Head of Talent. Programs span teams across Amherst, with a focus on Investment Management. The Early Talent Associate will join a team responsible for building a strong pipeline of diverse intern and analyst talent across the company. Deliver a ‘best in class’ summer internship program in partnership with the firm wide intern program management team; develop and mobilize talent; ensure high conversions to full-time.
Responsibilities:
- Support and execute on logistics for all campus events (undergraduate and graduate), including booking activities, logistics arrangements, collateral supply and coordination of attendees
- Lead strategy and execution of presence for Core On-Cycle investment banking analyst recruiting
- Support with the administration, booking, registration and execution of events and on-campus marketing initiatives (presentations, pop up installations, career fairs, webinars) ensuring brand consistency across all channels
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and campus presence strategy
- Maintain relationships with universities; including faculty, administrators, students and school organizations
- Plan, manage, and help execute large-scale interview days; including creating schedules, procuring space, confirming candidate travel, assisting with on-site logistics
- Support building and executing a campus-focused social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, strategic messaging and audience identification
- Build and maintain relationships with university and industry affinity groups, with focus on building diverse pipelines of talent and spearheading DE&I initiatives with intern and analyst classes
- Use university job boards to post positions, source candidates, register for campus events, and send targeted messaging
- Coordinate recruiting metrics and candidate tracking across all business units; gather and interpret data; prepare reports; present data to team and internal HR stakeholders
- Help continue to focus on DE&I initiatives regarding intern and analyst hiring
- Assist with pre-hire engagement for new hires and the onboarding process to enhance candidate experience
- Manage programming, events, performance management, and relocation for Early Talent summer intern program
- Administer special projects as requested; build and manage dashboards for executive leadership
What you’ll need to have:
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, while maintaining excellent written/verbal communication and exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent relationship management skills; ensuring a great candidate and business experience
- Extraordinary project management skills; ability to organize and push forward initiatives requiring a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong sense of urgency, relentless attention to detail; strong customer-orientation
- Steadfast commitment to diversity and experience with building diverse pipelines of students
- Ability to analyze and package data to identify trends
- Excellent judgment and ability to demonstrate discretion with confidential matters; extraordinary professionalism and communication skills
- Experience with Outlook, Word, and some Excel required
- 5-7 years of experience in a Campus recruiting role for a global financial services or professional services firm preferred (e.g., financial services, consulting, law)
- Bachelor’s Degree required
