Low Speed – Superintendent Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
Superintendent Engineer for MAN Energy Solutions USA Inc at its Brookshire, TX office. Field-based position and must work from the office when not in the field.
Responsible for after-sales technical and engineering services of MAN engine products. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide technical service installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modernization of engines and turbochargers manufactured by MAN and affiliated companies on seagoing vessels and power plants.
Provide technical advice and consultations to clients regarding engine operation and performance. Provide training and service program information, including follow-up with clients.
Contribute to innovations and development of MAN products.
Supervise and direct the work performed by outside contractors in repair of the company’s engines.
Assist workshop in technical matters as required. Prepare technical reports.
Job Requirements:
Employer requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Marine, or Electronic Engineering or other closely related technical field of study; plus 2 years (24 months) of experience in the offered position or other closely related engineering positions. In the alternative, employer will accept 4 years (48 months) of experience in the offered position or other closely related engineering positions. Experience may be concurrent.
Travel required (at least 50%) to various unanticipated locations. Field-based position and must work from the office when not in the field. Employer is willing to accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training in the skills required for the position.
