POSITION SUMMARY THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN KOTZEBUE ALASKA, FOR FIRST CONSIDERATIONYOU MUST APPLY AT WWW.MANIILAQ.ORG/CAREERSManage the personnel, resources and programs of the Office of Environmental Health (OEH). Directly supervise 4-6 employees and oversee environmental health programming including Rural Utility Support, Environmental Health Laboratory, Institutional Environmental Health, Rabies Prevention, Food Safety, Healthy Homes, Solid Waste Management, Regional Recycling/Backhaul, Brownfield State/Tribal Response, and Injury Prevention. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Health Services and is physically located at the Maniilaq Corporate Office in Kotzebue, Alaska.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBS in Environmental Health or related field; or 4 years course of study in an accredited college which include at least 30 semester hours in a science, public health, chemistry, microbiology or other appropriate agricultural, biological, or physical science courses. Applicant must possess a NEHA Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) credential. Preferred 3 years work experience in such areas as water supply, waste disposal, and injury control with demonstrated proficiency in program management. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a cross-cultural environment is a required. Frequent village travel by small aircraft is required.Other Job Information (if applicable): DISCLAIMER
