Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Position is full time (5 days / 40 hours per week).
- At least 5 years’ experience in logistics, shipping and receiving.
- Experience with international freight forwarding companies is a must.
- Knowledge of ISO system and procedures.
- Certified forklift operator.
- Must be OK with lifting heavy boxes up to 80 lbs.
- Able and willing to work extra hours if necessary.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of freight companies online portals (e.g. FedEx).
- Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe programs.
- English proficiency is a requirement.
- Salary will be based on experience and skill level.
- This is a contract to hire position. Performance will be evaluated after six months with a chance for permanent placement.
Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming shipments.
- Unpacking arriving factory shipments
- Receiving vendor shipments/parts
- Arrange all outgoing shipments.
- Packing customer orders
- Scheduling freight and parcel shipments
- Warehouse inventory organization and management
- Stock check and updates on all products and spare parts
- Handle phone calls, contact shipping companies, and answer related questions
- Manage sales sample and literature disbursement
