Mardi Gras Casino Hiring for Restaurant Host Job at Black Hawk, CO Full Time

The Food Host/Cashier greets and seats guests, provides menus and cashes out customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a positive impression of the F&B outlets by greeting guests in a warm, genuine manner.
• If guests have to wait to be seated, Host/Cashiers are expected to make them comfortable while they wait.
• Ensures all menus are wiped down and presentable prior to seating the guest.
• Locate a table that is the right size for the guests and seats them according to proper table rotation.
• Moves tables and adjusts seating for large parties.
• Sets tables with silverware, place-mats and menus.
• Takes check and method of payment from guest and properly rings it under the appropriate payment type. Provides change as necessary.
• Maintains paperwork in a neat organized manner and turns in to the cage along with bank amount and revenue at the end of each shift.
• Maintains an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning any guest issues, problems and/or solutions.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests and fellow team members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

6 months of cashiering experience in a similar food and beverage outlet preferred.
