MarketStar is looking for an Account Executive who is a savvy seller and loves to have fun! We’re looking for someone who has a consultative sales approach, a successful digital marketing track record growing sales and able to talk through a marketing strategy that best suits their partner.You will exhibit all the characteristics associated with a high performance sales culture, specifically leading and running a pipeline of new business opportunities and delivering results against a quota. Our team is customer centric, this individual will provide the best sales experience possible for our customers.

What will you do?

• Build your own strategic acquisition strategy for building and converting your set book of business
• Collaborating with your team, account managers and sales management
• Develop, maintain and prospect new business across digital channels
• Owning a book of business and driving the selling cycle with a portfolio of vertical-specific clients including working with different groups that own advertising and marketing budgets
• Developing campaign proposals with sound media recommendations, terms, deliverables and ensuring all campaigns meeting all deadlines throughout the sales to market execution cycle leveraging client sales suite of tools
• Ensuring proper set up and intake of plans in our systems including Salesforce and our proprietary targeting and measurement systems
• Coordinating with your account manager to ensure optimization of future media plans based on sophisticated campaign performance measurement
• Build and manage a sales pipeline to ensure a constant stream of sales and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
• Manage sales activity, pipeline reporting and revenue forecasts using our CRM system
• Work with other departments to ensure ad placements are placed, trafficked, and invoiced properly
• Maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in the industry and network externally

Desired attributes for success:

• Strong data analytics background that you use to better understand the full funnel impact of digital efforts.
• You are an expert in SEM and SEO and enjoy providing senior-level planning support to executives
• Strong understanding of digital and social platforms as well as their use in marketing
• Strong communication, client leadership and people skills; ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations
• Experience in consultative selling, with proven ability to deliver sales results & proactively retain and grow accounts
• Experience engaging with clients across marketing verticals
• Comfort interpreting closed-loop media measurement tying marketing to sales using retail data
• Proven client leadership skills; ability to develop relationships and influence
• Analytical acumen to make decisions; understand and optimize media campaigns
• Effective and proactive project management skills
• Ability to articulate and translate client objectives to build a media plan
• Demonstrated ability to share actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner
• 2+ years of advertising sales experience or digital marketing expertise in a client-facing role within the media industry.
