Job Discription
A Registered professional oncology nurse is responsible for delivery of outpatient infusion and treatments to a varied population. The RN directs and guides patient teaching on diagnosis, treatment, drugs, diet, and lifestyle changes while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The RN works directly with physicians, pharmacist and registration coordinating and scheduling treatment for the patient.
* Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
* ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy provider certification
* BLS
* 2 years in oncology setting where chemotherapy/biotherapy is administered
* Three years Med/Surg experience required
