Job requirements:
We are looking for a cross-trained Accounting professional, able to perform in all aspects of accounting from A/R, Payroll through A/P. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office and Excel. Candidate must have strong math, analytical and problem solving skills.
Candidate needs to be highly organized, detail oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently or in a team setting.
Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication proficiency. Achiever must be able to work under minimal pressure with little to no supervision.
Candidate must able to be entrusted with private or restricted information.
Position responsibilities:
Analyze contract amounts and prepare invoices from work performed.
Prepare daily deposits.
Research and process back charges and returns.
Answer accounts receivables phone inquiries with follow up.
Experience with in-house payroll processing from time sheets.
Payroll tax filings, including W-2 preparation.
Research payroll issues, and process necessary corrections.
Experienced preferred:
Plus three years in an administrative / accounting environment.
Able to work overtime if necessary.
Hands on attitude.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Sage accounting software a plus.
Associate degree in Accounting / Finance or Administration.
