Our networking systems, telecom services, and software client is seeking two Data Analyst for a long term contract, or potential contract-to-hire.
Our client, with over 26 years of experience, with locations around the globe is seeking talented Data Analysts with experience in the telecom domain. Our client guides their customers through the technology transformation to build a more intelligent and adaptive network.
Position: Data Analyst – Telecom
Location: Remote
Term: 11 months with the potential for converting to a FTE of the client
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Will work within the consulting division of our client, which has won a sizeable engagement with a large wireless telecom provider. The provider must migrate off of their legacy technology and backbone. There are massive amounts of technology, hardware, and software that has been added over time. The main responsibility is to create an inventory of what the provider has (different boxes, circuits, ATM, frame relay, etc.), what they do, where they are and the impact. The Data Analyst will help gather and ingest the information and put it in the client’s database schema that will be used to create visual presentations, for example Tableau, for the end customer to make recommendations on how to move forward with the most effective and efficient way to migrate to newer technology. There are massive amounts Data in the IT systems regarding the configuration of the customer’s network.
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Understanding Service Provider use-cases and solutions and determining how these are represented in the various Service Provider systems (ISS/NMS/OSS).
- Data cleansing, correlation, and integration of data across multiple Service Provider systems specifically IMS/OSS/NMS.
- Client facing meetings – i.e. client’s engineering, IT, planning departments etc., however, the main emphasis is close collaboration and coordination with other team members
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience working with a Wireless Provider in some capacity to understand telephony terminology
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst (experience cleansing, normalizing, transforming, integrating, and analyzing structured and semi-structured data)
- SQL
- Network topology and inventory
- OSS (TIRKS, Cramer etc.), BSS, IMS, data acquisition and semantics
