Position description
This position is located at the Florida site. Accountable for the development and execution of the Florida site strategy by providing leadership, philosophy, strategy and technical expertise for enterprise-wide shared services. The Chair is a member of the executive HR team and is responsible for administrative oversight of assignments. The Chair will partner with Florida site as its top HR executive working closely with the CEO/CAO and senior team along with additional client and functional assignments that advance Mayo’s operational services and strategic priorities.
Chair assignments may include 1) workforce development strategies 2) digital employee experience, 3) people consulting, and 4) people services. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of inter-relationships of functional areas and how to enhance people, financial and overall performance. Leads future oriented strategies that support Mayo’s “category of one” position. Promotes continuous process improvement that both delights customers, and reduces overall cost. Ensures oversight and compliance with Mayo’s policies, labor laws, and government regulations. Accountable for overall operating budget and financial performance across multiple functional areas. As a member of the HR executive leadership team, works across their CoE assignment supporting the mission, vision and values of the department and the organization. Chair will also coach and mentor staff for peak performance. Acts as a key advisor on human resources issues for executive leadership.
The Chair- Human Resources reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Mayo Clinic. The Chair is responsible for partnering with the Florida CEO/CAO and senior team. Works collaboratively with other CoE(s) within HR and institutional stakeholders at all levels in the delivery of a comprehensive shared services strategy designed to meet customer needs. Responsible for interacting with and supporting committees, task forces and groups to achieve Mayo Clinic’s strategic plan.
