This position provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This role provides first-tier customer service by answering employee requests. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The human resource coordinator makes certain HR policies and employee handbook are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that standard procedures are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance policy writing, standard operation procedure documentation and HRIS entry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintains an active and documented recruitment strategy and executable recruitment plan: screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings.
2. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
3. High Volume Social media recruiting
4. Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
5. Processes job requisitions through ATS; coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s). Consults with management to determine current and anticipated staffing needs. Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
6. Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
7. Writes and updates job descriptions as needed with management approval
8. Generates job postings using various recruitment channels (social media, websites, job boards, radio ads, newspaper ads, etc.)
9. Extends employment offers, secures employment references, ensures, and schedules pre-employment physical/drug screens
10. Maintains employee referral program
11. Completes weekly reports on all recruitment, retention and employment activity; completes monthly and quarterly rollup staffing reports for management with turnover metrics
12. Conducts exit and stay interviews .
13. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
14. Maintains employee confidence by keeping human resource information confidential
15. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE
1. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
2. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
3. Knowledge of Applicant Tracking System set up and execution
