McGovern Automotive Group is hiring a Fixed Operations Director for our Porsche South Shore dealership of Freeport, NY & soon- to- be acquired Ferrari dealership of Plainview!

Role Responsibilities:

The Fixed Operations Director will have oversight and management responsibility of the Parts and Services Departments. The Fixed Operations Director is responsible for achieving maximum results in sales volume, gross profit, customer satisfaction, and employee productivity.

• Oversee and collaborate with Parts Department leaders and dealership management on all aspects of fixed operations imperatives
• Lead a team of service and parts professionals to achieve aggressive sales goals and profit objectives
• Regularly review productivity (including #of ROs, sales revenue per RO, part sales, utilization, etc.), profit and commission reports for accuracy, trends, issue identification and forward planning
• Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize margins
• Forecast and implement regular sales goals and objectives for each department
• Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, promote long term customer retention and employee satisfaction
• Ensure that customer complaints and enquiries are handled promptly with professionalism, tact and attentiveness and serve as an escalation point for issue resolution as needed
• Prepare reports for dealership management, as required, to ensure groups are meeting or exceeding revenue forecasts and managing expenses appropriately
• Research local market offerings to ensure McGovern offerings, pricing and amenities and specials are competitive
• Ensure full understanding and compliance with all manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures
• Evaluate and make recommendations to dealership leadership for vendors of services and systems
• Hire, train motivate and monitor the performance of all department team members
• Ensure staff meets the manufacturer’s training requirements and are properly trained regarding all Federal and State safety standards and regulations
• Provide coaching and training to all customer contact positions with the goal of increased CSI performance, sales and overall customer satisfaction and retention
• Monitor the condition of all dealership parts and service areas for cleanliness and proper and safe working conditions
• Partner with HR and McGovern Automotive Group leadership on employee issue management
• Adhere to all company policies and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Prior automotive retail industry experience required, preferably across multiple brands
• Minimum of 15 years of professional work experience preferred
• Able to manage, mentor and develop teams of individuals in multiple locations
• Displays superior customer relationship and interpersonal skills and maintains strong focus on customer satisfaction
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
• Meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments, and multi-tasks under pressure
• Maintains core knowledge of products and product updates
• Demonstrates a solid work ethic and exhibits professional and acceptable behaviors at all times
• Is self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and success driven
• Reports any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees to management
• Maintains professional appearance and confident, positive and high energy presence
• Is team-oriented with a desire to achieve both individual and collective goals
• Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations
• Has a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Holds valid driver’s license
• Able to pass background and drug screenings
