Schedule: Sunday – Thursday. Sunday 4:30pm to completion. Monday-Thursday 6pm to completion. Overtime required.

Position Description

As an Operations Manager on our team, you’ll be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. From training to problem solving to maintaining equipment, your work will help save lives. The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational activities of a variety of functional departments within the distribution center for our night shift.

Duties include:

• Plans, organizes, and directs warehouse and selected office functions to ensure order fulfillment with 100% customer satisfaction.
• Development of supervisory team
• Leads warehouse employees and supervisors
• Manages activities of a team that are moderately complex
• Maintain a positive morale, work standards, and developing teams
• Trains and manages performance of supervisors and other direct reports.
• Assertively seeks solutions at the root level of problems.
• Builds teamwork among DC management team and employees.
• Ensures warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
• Controls expenses
• Ensures warehouse and equipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company and FDA standards.

Essential Functions:

• Assist team with planning, organizing and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful night shift operations.
• Effectively lead workers and Lead persons.
• Reducing employee turnover/overtime working hours

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years operational experience including 4+ years managerial experience
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• Must be open to flexible hours and must also be open to overtime as needed and adjusting shift based on business requirements

Critical Requirements

• Experience managing, leading and developing supervisors; this is a hands-on manager role with most time being spent on the floor
• Management skills – coaching and development of supervisors
• Demonstrated employee engagement skills
• Strong communications skills – open and candid verbal and written communications; ability to debate, decide and commit effectively at all levels and across all functional areas
• Computer proficiency in MS Office
• Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
• Adept at strategic thinking and strategic business planning
• A Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in operations, distribution or supply chain management.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent organizational skills
• Follow up and follow through
• Experience managing budgets and expenses
• SAP experience
• Project Management experience
• Adept at interpreting and analyzing data
• Six Sigma training or experience

Education

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements

• High energy distribution center environment
• May be required to work various shifts
• Some overtime required
