The Account Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily communication and ensuring customer distributions are properly loaded in the appropriate systems. They assist in achieving excellent customer service with accurate, timely, and consistent information.
Accurately input distributions/season promotions into McLane distribution system.
Communicate to McLane divisions on retail changes, item authorizations, program additions, new store openings and sales promotions that the customer plans to make or execute within a specific timeframe.
Gather statistical data for weekly/monthly reports, prepare and distribute.
Coordinate and effectively communicate with customers, peers, vendors and leadership team.
Respond to phone calls, emails voice-mails and written correspondence.
Prepare a weekly recap for divisions and corporate operations regarding customer activities and opportunities.
Maintain a good relationship with customers, division teammates, and the corporate Buying group.
This position may have additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor’s discretion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have at least 2 years of sales and/or customer service experience (internal candidates should have at least 1 year of McLane experience as a teammate).
Be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word) and very proficient using Excel.
Be able to prioritize pending tasks in a logical manner.
Undergo pre-employment screenings, including a background check and a drug test.
