ABOUT THE JOB:

• The Senior Accountant I is jointly responsible for financial and accounting activities within a McLane grocery division.
• They have frontline supervisory and leadership responsibilities for the divisions non-exempt accounting teammates.
• They maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), McLane accounting policies, best practices and other internal controls.
• PREFERRED qualifications and experience for this position include: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), current or in progress.
• Oracle E-Business Suite experience.
• Prepare financial statements, including advanced balance sheet reconciliations.
• set up, maintain, and inventory fixed assets.
• Assist in preparing the annual budget Forecast, prepare, file and pay product excise taxes and other taxes according to schedule.
• Facilitate audits and information requests.
• This position has additional responsibilities.
• special projects may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Be able to organize, forecast, and meet financial deadlines.
