Responsibilities:

• Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program. 1st Responsibility – Ensuring personal safety and the safety of team members.
• Proactively promotes The McWane Way
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Determines proper handling of financial transactions and processes these transactions in the General Ledger.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Conducts balance sheet account reconciliation.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting for A/R and payroll.
• Payroll tax returns and payments.
• Property taxes.
• Month-end and year-end closing.
• Provide support for external and internal audit requirements and requests.
• Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Three (3) years of general accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Experience with an ERP system preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Team player and have ability to work independently.

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
