A family medicine and primary care practice in Media, Pennsylvania. We specialize in care for adults aged 21 and older, as well as geriatric care for seniors.

Media Medical Associates’ providers are highly experienced physicians who specialize in family medicine, internal medicine and osteopathic therapy.

Job Summary

The part-time Medical Assistant/ Scribe performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. Administrative duties may include: updating and filing patients’ medical records, maintaining medical information. The days and hours we are looking to hirer for this position is weekly, Wednesday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly matter.
• Prep patients for examination and treatment, gathers patient history, take vital signs.
• Performs EKG’s injections in the office using appropriate skills to provide quality care to patients.
• Maintaining incoming faxes, mailing correspondence, entering data and contacting patients with test results.
• Prepares new records, files and maintains records
• Cleaning and stacking exam rooms, procedure rooms.
• Accurately enters data into EMR.
• Scheduling office appointments.
• Performs insurance verification & authorization
• Answering Phones
• Address patients concerns to relay to provider
• Share information with patients about medication and special diets.
• Filling out billing & patients forms
• Medical Scribing & scanning
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience preferred as a trained Medical Assistance
• High School Diploma required.
• College Degree preferred.
• Medical terminology.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures, medical processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
