What are we looking for?
Medical Access Urgent Care is immediately looking for a friendly, excellent customer service oriented, patient driven, experienced medical receptionist for our Germantown, Maryland clinic location.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for greeting and registering patient, handling incoming calls, obtaining and recording pertinent data from the patients and providing administrative support.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greets and registers patients.
2. Obtains pertinent information and ensures that patients fill out required forms correctly and obtains copy of driver’s license, insurance card and other pertinent information.
3. Handles incoming calls and messages left on front desk phone.
4. Accurately enters data into Allscripts and updates information as needed.
5. Collects co-pays and other fees at time of service and accurately records receipt
6. Processes incoming faxes and faxes reports to companies and referring physicians as requested by the physicians.
7. Follows-up with companies if a company’s employee comes without authorization or correct paperwork.
8. Prep charts for the next day appointments.
9. Keeps reception area and front desk area neat.
10. Completes other duties as assigned.
