Who We Are – The Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) is the physician membership organization committed to improving health care quality, accessibility, and affordability.
The Society’s Committee for Physician Health promotes quality medical care by offering non-disciplinary, confidential assistance to physicians, residents, medical students, and physician assistants suffering from substance use disorder and other psychiatric disorders. The Committee monitors the treatment and compliance of program participants and provides advocacy and support as well as outreach activities, including prevention and education.
The Position – The Committee for Physician Health seeks an intuitive individual who can handle a variety of tasks to ensure that interactions with others are positive and productive. The ability to collaborate remotely with colleagues, physicians, outside providers, and state officials is essential.
The successful candidate must have:
A two-year degree and strong secretarial /administrative skills, including:
Strong proficiency in Office 365
web conferencing software
ability to work remotely – independently and virtually
