Behavioral Health Medical Records Representative Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: This position is ‘in-office’ and is responsible for pulling medical records, data entry, auditing of internal databases and other duties as assigned.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge of Behavioral Health levels of care and services is essential.
- Utilizing EMR/EHR software to navigate through clients Medical Charts.
- Pull and review medical charts to an audit standard.
- Ability to review and outline what is needed in a client chart.
- Assist and/or Develop Quarterly/Monthly Reports.
- Ability to interface with clients if needed.
- Ability to make suggestions for enhancements throughout the department and continually seeks opportunities to improve current policies, procedures and practices.
- Assist the executive team with administrative tasks including document creation, CRM Management, scheduling, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- The minimum qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, 2-5 years of experience in Behavioral Health.
- Must have a general understanding of ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT, medical/behavioral health terminology and Levels of Care.
- The Medical Records Specialist will maintain confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to assure patient rights are protected at all times.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour.
