Our Meineke Car Care Centers are independently owned and operated automotive repair centers in Newport News, Hampton, and Yorktown, VA. We’re currently looking for motivated and experienced Automotive State Inspectors to join our team! As an Automotive State Inspector, your goal will be to provide top-quality service to our customers and ensure they’re driving home in safe, reliable vehicles through comprehensive inspections.
Automotive State Inspector compensation: $38 to $46 an hour, weekly guarantees, and commission programs are available based on experience
We’re also currently offering a Signing bonus after a probationary employment period!

Automotive State Inspector Requirements:
- Valid Virginia Sate Inspection License
- Minimum 5 years of automotive repair / automotive service experience required
- Valid driver’s license
- Multi-point inspection and maintenance experience
- Set of own tools
Automotive State Inspector Responsibilities:
- Virginia State Inspections on customer vehicles
- Testing systems, diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles
- Communicating findings with customers and obtaining approval
- Completing all vehicle inspections
- Providing other services such as replacing / balancing tires, assisting with oil changes, etc.
- Using your own set of tools and shop scanners as testing aids

Pay: $40.00 – $46.00 per hour
