ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting and posting of positions in ADP applicant system. Screens all applicants for hiring managers including phone interviews. Responsible for setting up interview teams and appointments for managers, then collecting interview notes and applicant information from managers at completion of interview process. Completes reference checks (as needed) and makes employment offers. Upon acceptance conducts all background checks for new hires.
Plans, organizes, and conducts new employee Onboarding sessions for new hires.
Ensures that all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and input into ADP timely. Also ensures that the new hires network access has been setup and coordinates with the Receptionist on issuing ID badges to new employees.
Develops annual Job Fair Calendar. Pursues qualified candidates at various greater area Wichita job fairs. Routes qualified candidates to hiring managers in accordance with agency hiring needs.
Prepare monthly reports.
Conducts salary analysis by specified job class, or specific job title as needed.
Review Affirmative Action plan bi-annually for compliance and audit.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting for ACA. Ensures all 1095’s are completed accurately.
Presenter for Onboarding of all new hires.
Attends and researches job fairs each year.
Administers all employee benefit programs including set-up of all benefit plans, life changes, and COBRA administration for terminations. Assist employees and the agency with any benefits issues, questions, and concerns.
Oversees all HRIS changes, works with ADP and third-party brokers to ensure all new changes to plans and vendors is done timely and accurately with all vendors.
Coordinates administration of worker’s compensation and works with management, staff, and vendors with on-the-job injury in order to manage cost.
Administers 401k plan and funds contributions through appropriate processes.
Approves and coordinates all Leaves of Absence including FMLA, general medical, and military leave. Works with managers and employees in tracking benefits coordination and potential return to work.
Oversees Wellness Committee and agency-wide initiatives.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
Manages and reviews job descriptions.
Manages security system and building access.
Maintains Active/Terminated Employee files.
Ensures positive employee relations are maintained throughout the organization.
Assists management with handling personnel matters effectively and consistently with existing policies, including: interviewing, hiring, counseling, terminating, and completion of annual evaluations for employees. Provides appropriate documentation and training as needed.
Manages multiple ongoing projects.
Assist with organizing and managing Special Events as needed, such as UNW.
Coordinates annual benefits open enrollment each year with third-party vendor including setup in ADP.
Process unemployment notices and requests for information. Prepare documentation supporting hearing requests. Participates in hearings as needed.
Assists with Employee Recognition programs and Employee club events.
Supports effective communication to workforce including maintenance of company bulletin boards including maintaining FLSA and EEO requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Prompt and regular attendance is required for this position.
Attendance at departmental staff meetings, agency meetings, and trainings is required.
Ensures appropriate notification to supervisor for absences, and ensures that work is covered. Flexible in work schedule when needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience required.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Experience with payroll, recruiting/talent acquisition, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, FMLA, employee maintenance maintenance, employee relations highly preferred.
Experience with ADP preferred or experience with other HRIS systems
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite products required
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
Must possess effective communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to develop and maintain rapport with customers including staff, potential staff, and consumers and anyone else that this position may work with.
Valid Kansas Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle required
