Mercury Mosaics Hiring For Accountant at Minneapolis, MN Full Time

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial accounting, corporate finance, and payroll. If you are detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for numbers, we encourage you to apply. This position will work 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the daily operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Complete the monthly financial statement close process, conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of our general ledger, and ensuring precision and efficiency in all accounting processes.
• Utilize software such as QuickBooks for financial management
• Preparing the production of periodic financial reports ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
• Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
• Provides high-level reporting to Leadership to assist strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
• Prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with sales tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and corporate finance
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation and corporate accounting practices
• Proficiency in payroll processing and familiarity with QuickBook
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience working in a multi-channel manufacturing industry.
