Mid-Level PHP Developer – WordPress Experience Desired

Meyocks is growing thanks to the great work of our talented team, and we’re looking for a couple of PHP developers to join us.

What You Would Do at Meyocks

As a mid-level PHP Developer, you would bring ideas to life in the form of websites. You would come to this position having some familiarity with the WordPress CMS, including plugins and themes – and you would be ready to roll up your sleeves and learn more! You would build and maintain sites for our clients leveraging PHP, MySQL, JS and CSS (Sass).

While you would focus on what you love most – the code – you would collaborate freely with a team of graphic designers, copywriters, strategists and other marketing communication professionals, always keeping an eye on the details that can make or break a project.

You would seize the opportunity to learn more about cloud deployment and administration, potentially growing into a backup to our Web Lead in these areas.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 1 to 3 years experience writing PHP code

• 1 to 3 years experience working with MySQL

• 1 to 3 years experience working with WordPress

• 1 to 3 years experience working with JS

• Bonus points if you have experience deploying WordPress sites in cloud infrastructure, UX experience and/or experience in react.js or other reactive frameworks

• Focus on accuracy and attention to detail

• Must be a self-starter: quick learner, intuitive and proactive

• Prefer candidate in the Des Moines, Iowa, area but open to telecommuting options (US locations only) for highly qualified candidates
