• You will work collaboratively with the finance and manufacturing operational teams
• Coordination of cost accounting and reporting activities on a weekly, monthly basis
• Frequent maintenance and review of standard cost system and controls to assure standard cost, inventory valuation, and gross margin reporting accuracy
• Set standards for new manufactured parts based upon bills of materials and operations.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and compare to standard costs
• Develop and implement reports and tools that identify cost exceptions and work with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvements to eliminate cost variances and improve gross profit
• Analyze changes in product design and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost.
• Compare actual product margins to quotes and analyze variances.
• Periodically analyze purchase history and update raw material standard costs.
• Assist with development and implementation of annual labor and overhead rates
• Analyze inventory for excess and obsolete products, ensuring accurate inventory reserves
• Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts as needed
• Assist with month end close activities
• Assist with annual budget process

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance,
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• A good understanding of GAAP, and a solid understanding of general ledger systems
• Be on site 5 days a week
