Title: Public Health Community Liaison – MIHP
$70,000 – $82,000 / Posted Thru: 5-1-22
Location: Remote/Virtual – Transition to In-Office – Must Be Michigan Resident
Purpose: The position Public Health Community Liaison – MIHP provides program monitoring, consultation, and technical assistance services to Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) agencies and providers. MIHP is a Medicaid service for pregnant women, infants, and their families/caregivers. The program liaison position will function as a recognized resource/subject matter expert to the agencies and providers. The Liaison will assist the agencies in complying with Medicaid policy requirements and maintaining fidelity to the program design while providing high quality services. The liaison will assist programs in understanding Medicaid policy, program requirements, procedures, data collection, reporting and the certification process. The liaison will assist with ongoing program refinement. They will also assist in developing and conducting provider training and work to improve community engagement with MIHP. The person will meet with MIHP agency personnel through virtual and on-site visits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Education: A master’s degree in public health, health communication, social work or counseling, health policy or a public health related field such as nursing, epidemiology, health education, health economics, dietetics/nutrition management.
Experience: Minimum of 3 year’s professional experience in maternal child health, project management and experience working to improve disparities in health outcomes required. Experience improving population health via a case management framework.
