The US Central Marketing Organization (USCMO) is looking for a seasoned Field Marketing leader who can be a key partner to our Small and Medium Corporate (SMC) sales team. In this position you will be the marketing ambassador responsible to train sellers on relevant marketing programs, land events and drive prospection motion across a sales team of over 1,000 sellers. You will also be a “key voice of the field” and accountable for sharing back with the sales leadership team and entire USCMO how SMC sellers are leveraging marketing.
The US Central Marketing Organization (USCMO) leads B2B marketing across solutions and industries for the United States subsidiary of Microsoft. With a broad view of the business, the USCMO focuses on getting customers ready to buy through integrated marketing campaigns as well as getting sellers ready to sell by empowering them with the intelligence they need to have the right conversations and build pipeline.
The SMC Scale Field Marketing Manager first task will be to identify and curate the relevant marketing programs that will best empower the SMC sales team to scale through their broad account portfolio and achieve their business goals. In parallel the SMC Scale Field Marketing Manager will need to establish an engagement rhythm to create the right proximity with the SMC Scale Sales team. Once this established, the SMC Scale Field Marketing Manager will be in charge of training the SMC Scale Sales Team on prioritized marketing program and driving usage. This role will also be in charge of the last mile landing of key marketing events ensuring that the SMC Scale team is aware of the events to capitalize on them to drive business and closing the loop post events with customers. Last but not least, the SMC Field Scale Marketing Manager will be accountable to partner with Sales Excellence to ensure marketing signals are actioned by sellers to drive incremental pipeline. Share back “voice of the field” into MBR to influence marketing plans based on field’s feedback
Train Sellers to support scale
Curate relevant marketing programs for SMC Scale
Partner across field marketing community to share / adopt best practices
Drive sales usage of marketing programs within SMC Scale
Land key Events
Ensure seller awareness of all relevant events
Drive post event follow up by sellers to maximize business impact
Track impact
Activate Prospection
Ensure relevant blitz/prospection days are included into sales cycle
Maximize conversion to pipeline through marketing support
Track pipeline creation and share insights/recommendation to improve Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in B2B sales or marketing OR Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in B2B sales or marketing OR equivalent experience. Experience as a marketing advocate with ability to drive sales adoption of marketing programs and maximize marketing ROI
Additional of Preferred Qualifications Successful track record of running scalable sales and/or marketing programs Must be a voracious learner, quick adopter, and contributor of leading practices from peers Strong customer focus and a good understanding of a sales organization Must enjoy being continually challenged in a multifaceted, matrixed, and constantly changing environment
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $112,600 to $146,400.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
